Where your support goes

On our Magdalen Farm Strings course, participants' fees cover the cost of the venue. Everything else, the tuition, the music, and all the essentials that make the week run smoothly, is funded separately through fundraising and donations like yours.

We are very grateful to Colin Matthews, The Joyce Fletcher Trust, The Christina Aitchison Trust, The Richard Ely Trust, The Albert and Eugenie Frost Music Trust, and other generous individuals who support our Magdalen Farm Strings course. Without this additional support, the course simply could not offer the depth of teaching and experience that make it what it is.

Our new course, Thornbridge Music, is being developed with the same spirit of access at its heart. Additionally, we are working to offer bursary places for those who would otherwise be unable to afford to take part, so that a young person's opportunity is not limited by their family's ability to pay.

How your donations help

• £20 would contribute to the day-to-day running of the course, covering things like music and printing that keep sessions going smoothly.

• £100 would pay for a key part of the week, such as outdoor activities or an evening workshop with a visiting artist.

• £275 - Sponsor Half a Place.  This would directly enable us to offer one of our 50% funded bursary places for Thornbridge Music, opening the door for a young person who might not otherwise be able to attend.

• £550 - Sponsor a Full Place. This would enable us to offer a 100% funded bursary place to Thornbridge Music.
